Soursop is an oval, heart-shaped or oblong fruit that has a deep green skin with many short, fleshy spines. The flesh is white, juicy and aromatic with a cottonlike texture. Embedded with many brown seeds, it has a flavor like pineapples and mangoes. The tropical fruit is often eaten raw, or it can be incorporated into drinks, sorbet/ice cream, jellies and jams or candies. Soursop is available year-round from South American and Pacific Rim countries and from India.
