Shamouti

Commodity Overview

Fragrant, sweet and juicy, this type of orange is easy to peel and has no navel. It is also known as jaffa. The seedless fruit is sweet and can be used as you would other orange citrus fruits; eat raw out of hand or add the juice to cooking and baking applications. Shamouti is grown in the western U.S. in winter and imported from Isreal from February through May.
