Coquito nuts are similar in size and shape to a marble. Their thin skin appears woody, while the flesh is white with a hollow center, much as you might imagine for a baby coconut. They have a nutty taste and a crunchy texture. Coquito nuts can be eaten raw out of hand, or cooked. They pair well with other tropical flavors. Coquito nuts are also called miniature or pygmy coconuts. They are available year-round from Chile.
