A cross between a pummelo and a white grapefruit, this round to pear-shaped fruit is larger than a medium-sized grapefruit. Its smooth green to yellow skin is slightly thicker than grapefruit, and it has a firm flesh. It lacks the bitterness of grapefruit, so the flavor seems sweeter. It is available in the winter through early spring.
