For many of us, winter is a memory, but your awesome produce merchandising displays are not — especially as we’ve received, sorted, judged and now publicized the top contest submissions for the recent season.
Welcome to PMG’s Produce Artist Award Series, a quarterly contest among produce managers and merchandisers, showcasing their produce artistry, strategy and know-how.
This season, we went even more global than ever — reaching produce professionals beyond our borders (or far-flung military bases).
On this webinar, our judges provide feedback, including raves and (mild) criticism, along with anecdotes, tips and suggestions based on the winning photos. They are both regular columnists for The Packer and Produce Market Guide.
- Joe Watson: Vice president of retail, foodservice and wholesale for International Fresh Produce Association; former director of produce for Rouses Market; and 2014 Produce Retailer of the Year.
- Armand Lobato: Foodservice promotion director of the Idaho Potato Commission; formerly a produce category manager, merchandiser and buyer.
Watch the on-demand Winner Webinar to get schooled in produce merchandising best practices and be inspired. Hear what the judges had to say about each winner’s work.

When you watched the webinar, besides "wow," did you also say to yourself, "I can do better"? Prove it.
Send us six to 10 photos (high-resolution so they’re not pixelated/blurry for us) of your spring produce, along with your name, job title, company and city/state/country. To enter the Spring 2023 Produce Artist Awards contest, send it to [email protected] by June 9.
Categories include: Produce Manager, Produce Merchandiser/Specialist, Mangoes, Vidalia Onions, Berries, Melons and Sweet Corn.
