Yellow-flesh peaches led the way last week as the most promoted fruit in the U.S., with more than 15,600 stores putting peaches on ad for a weighted average price of $1.49 per pound.
More than 10,000 stores also promoted white seedless grapes ($1.68), red seedless grapes ($1.63) and yellow-flesh nectarines ($1.73). More than 8,700 stores had strawberries on ad ($2.40).
Rounding out the top 10 were plums, mangoes, cantaloupes, raspberries and white-flesh peaches.
