Hy-Vee recently opened the first store of its new HealthMarket format in West Des Moines, Iowa.
The “healthy lifestyle store” is about 15,700 square feet and includes a health clinic, pharmacy, sports nutrition area and hearing center, according to a news release. A “hydration station” will present Bevi infused waters, kombucha and nitro coffee.
The format also carries staples like fresh produce, meat and seafood, dairy and frozen food. Online grocery pickup will also be available.
“We can’t wait for Hy-Vee customers to experience this new store concept, which offers products and services to meet all of their health and wellness needs,” store director Matt Pertzborn said in the release. “Shopping for healthy lifestyle and personal care items while picking up your groceries has never been easier.”
A 3,000-square feet Orangetheory Fitness center is adjacent to the HealthMarket store.
