Walmart has expanded its meal kit selection — at least online — through a partnership with Gobble.
Shoppers can order the fresh, 15-minute kits on the Walmart website, as of the week of Aug. 6.
Meals available to purchase there include Chicken Tikka Masala with Garam Masala and Cucumber Salad, Blackened Bistro Filet with Mashed Potatoes and Baby Carrots, Parmesan Crusted Chicken with Lemon-Basil Orzo Salad, and Brown Sugar Crusted Atlantic Salmon with Mashed Avocado and Tomato Vinaigrette.
The company provided the following statement about the addition:
“With more than 75 million items on Walmart.com, we continue to look for new options to offer customers. This includes specialty food items like the meal delivery kits by Gobble, farm fresh crates and snack boxes that give customers convenient options to plan and prepare meals.”
Walmart announced in March that it would launch its own meal kits in more than 2,000 stores this year. The company planned to have three tiers of options: pre-portioned meal kits, rotisserie chicken meals, and one-step meals.
