Three Price Rite Marketplace locations have a new format as part of a pilot program to showcase discounts, highlight fresh offerings and deliver a better shopping experience.
Upgrades to the Pennsylvania stores include a market-style produce department that carries numerous local offerings, according to a news release. The company buys from growers in 16 Pennsylvania towns. The new store format also features more Wholesome Pantry products, “with free-from, organic and gluten-free options,” per the release.
Spotlighting value is a signature of the revamped stores, with a “Drop Zone” bringing together particularly good deals and new signage pointing to deals throughout the store.
“For more than 20 years, Price Rite has been proud to offer incredible value and fresh products to our shoppers,” Jim Dorey, president of Price Rite, said in the release. “Now we are moving forward by cutting prices further on hundreds of items while highlighting our fresh offerings and making it even easier to spot extraordinary deals in our redesigned and reimagined Price Rite Marketplace stores.”
