A mislabeled vegetable tray with ranch dip has led to a recall in Florida because it contains eggs, which are considered as an allergan that must be identified on the product.

The Party Tray Vegetables with Ranch Dip from Country Fresh LLC was packaged under the SE Grocers brand and distributed to Winn Dixie, Harvey’s and Fresco y Mas stores in Florida, according to the recall notice from Country Fresh posted on the Food and Drug Administration’s website.

Labels for Country Fresh’s Apple & Cheese with Carmel Dip were mistakenly attached to the vegetable trays, according to the notice, which was released Dec. 22. No adverse reactions have been reported in connection with the vegetable trays.

The products, distributed on Dec. 21, were shipped to the retailer’s Florida distribution centers in Plant City, Jacksonville and Miami.

Use-by dates are Dec. 27, the Universal Product Code is 3825911509 and lot codes are 020NFU2001.

Winn Dixie stores removed the product from the store shelves and inventories according to the notice.

“Country Fresh takes food safety matters very seriously, stringently follows all mandated regulations, and implements preventive measures designed to minimize potential risks,” according to the notice.
