Superior Fresh has introduced an organic salad, Citrus Splash.
The salad is versatile, from taco Tuesdays to a Sunday meal, according to a news release.
The Northfield, Wis., aquaponic farm also raises organic Atlantic salmon, and describes Citrus Splash as “filled with bright sunny citrus notes,” offering consumers a unique opportunity to expand their culinary experience, according to the release.
According to the Citrus Splash label, it may contain green leaf, sorrel, red leaf, green romaine, green oak leaf, red romaine and red oak leaf.
“Citrus Splash is sure to make a splash in the produce pool,” according to the release. “Look for it on the shelves of your local grocery store and inquire directly for wholesale, retail and foodservice options.”
The company is regenerating about 800 acres of land to its native state and its system is able to grow lettuce with less than a gallon of water, according to Superior Fresh spokesman Todd Linsky.
“Our customers expect us to bring our best using thoughtful innovation – every time – whether that be in the way that we farm or with what we grow,” he said in the release.
