Sprouts plans to open stores in three new markets in the second quarter of this year: Louisiana, New Jersey and Virginia.
Overall, Sprouts expects to open nine stores in the second quarter. Four of those locations will feature the latest store design updates that highlight meat and seafood. Those stores will also have a Market Corner Deli, which will include a salad bar, prepared foods, sushi and made-to-order sandwiches, according to a news release.
The stores opening in the second quarter will be in:
- Baton Rouge, La.
- Herndon, Va.
- Jacksonville, Fla.
- Los Angeles
- Marlton, N.J.
- Mesa, Ariz.
- Oviedo, Fla.
- San Jose, Calif.
- San Luis Obispo, Calif.
The locations in Jacksonville, Los Angeles, Oviedo and San Luis Obispo will have the enhanced layout.
In addition to the nine stores opening in the second quarter, eight stores are slated to open in the first quarter.
By the end of the year, Sprouts plans to add about 30 stores.
