CEDAR PARK, Texas —After positive reception in the month following launch, Amazon and Whole Foods plan to accelerate the program’s timeline.

Ten new states are already slated to join the 12 existing markets, plus 365 by Whole Foods Market stores nationwide.

The expansion goes live June 13. It includes 10% off “hundreds” of sales items throughout the store, plus special Prime member discounts on select items.

“We’re excited that Prime savings will be available at nearly half our Whole Foods Market stores this week, giving more Prime members access to great deals just in time for summer,” said A.C. Gallo, president and chief operating officer of Austin, Texas-based Whole Foods Market, in a news release.

The program piloted in Florida, and was quickly rolled out to 12 additional markets. The 10 new states bring the total to 23. The nationwide expansion was originally planned for calendar 2018, but Gallo indicated the timeline is moving forward faster.

“Based on the positive customer feedback and successes we’ve seen over the past month, we’re accelerating our timeline to expand these savings to all of our U.S. stores,” he said, in a news release.
