The winners have been chosen! Find out why these displays won in their categories in the 2022 Winter Produce Artist Awards.

This season, our judges were Joe Watson, vice president of retail, foodservice and wholesale for the International Fresh Produce Association, former director of produce for Rouses Markets and 2014 Produce Retailer of the Year; and Armand Lobato, foodservice promotion director of the Idaho Potato Commission, formerly a produce category manager, merchandiser and buyer, and longtime columnist for The Packer and PMG.

Best Winter Greens Display

Second place: Hampton Williams of Military Produce Group, Fort Bragg North

Winner: Stephen Daly of Military Produce Group, Fort Eustis

Best Mushroom Display

Winner: Stephen Daly of Military Produce Group, Norfolk Naval Base

Best Potato Display

Honorable mention: Rigo Vargas of Sunset Foods, Highland Park, Ill.

Second place: Phillip Worley of Military Produce Group's Wright-Patterson Air Force Base

Winner: A tie between Stephen Daly of Military Produce Group's Fort Eustis and Fort Lee locations

Best Citrus Display

Honorable mention: Alan Summers of Broulim's, Rexburg, Idaho

Second place: Jarom Bernhardt of Lee's Marketplace, Smithfield, Utah

Winner: Charles Chapman of Military Produce Group, MacDill Air Force Base 

Best Chilean Produce Display

Winner: Brian Dey of Four Seasons Produce, Ephrata, Pa.

Best Broccoli/Cauliflower Display

Honorable mention: Kay Greenley of Olsen's Piggly Wiggly, Cedarsburg, Wis. 

Second place: Elliot Lamoureux of PCC Community Markets-Ballard, Seattle, Wash.

Winner: Brian Dey of Four Seasons Produce, Ephrata, Pa.

Best Produce Manager

Runner-up: Eduardo Garcia of Sprouts Farmers Market in Vista, Calif.

Winner: Kay Greenley of Olsen's Piggly Wiggly in Cedarburg, Wis. 

Best Produce Merchandiser/Specialist

Runner-up: Stephen Daly of Military Produce Group, which includes Fort Eustis, Fort Lee, Little Creek Naval Base, Norfolk Naval Base and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base

Winner: Phillip Worley of Military Produce Group, which includes Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Fort Leonard Wood, Scott Air Force Base, Fort Knox and Fort Campbell
