TAMPA, Fla. — Exhibitors at the Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure 2024 highlighted product availability, new product offerings and more. Here’s some highlights from some of The Packer’s booth visits.
Bridgette Webber, trade marketing manager with Bard Valley Natural Delights, talked about her company’s new date strips with Tajin chili lime seasoning.
“They're the perfect blend of sweet and heat,” she said.
Tara Smith Vighetti, president of Smith’s Farm, said she and her team looks forward to coming to events like SEPC's Southern Exposure.
“The more we come to events like this where we can meet not just our customers, but our partners and new growing opportunities and new places — all of those opportunities just keep opening up for us,” she said.
Wesley Emerson, an account manager with Mastronardi Produce, talked about his company’s newest flavor bomb tomato introductions.
“Our newest lineup is going to be from our umami bombs — it's a sweet and savory taste,” he said. “Bahama bombs has great citrus undertones.”
Heather Childs, sales manager with Applewood Fresh Growers, and Sara Palmisano, business development manager with FirstFruits Farms, talked about the companies' new partnership.
“Now we have the ability to provide Washington and Michigan apples, so we're very excited about this acquisition,” Childs said.
