Super Starr International has a new logo for its Royal Star papaya.
Grown in Colima, Mexico, the variety is distinctive for its sweetness and shelf life, according to a news release.
“Since the Royal Star papaya variety has been in the marketplace for nearly 10 years, we felt it was time for a brand refresh on our signature fruit,” Lance Peterson, president at Super Starr International, said in the release. “The variety itself is still as tasty and of the highest quality, as it was before, but with new branding that makes it stand out on the shelves.”
Visitors to the company’s booth at the upcoming Fresh Summit expo can taste the Royal Star papaya. The company will also be talking about its sustainability practices, including its recent investment in an organic research lab on its property.
Super Starr aims to cut its chemical usage by 70%.
“This new research lab is our investment into continual innovation and improvement of our growing standards,” Peterson said in the release. “It is important to us that we have resources within our company dedicated to ensuring we are providing high-quality, sustainable products to our customers and consumers.”
The company will exhibit at Fresh Summit booth 1800.
