Raley’s has added the title of CEO to current president Keith Knopf.

Knopf joined Raley’s as chief operating officer in 2015 and becoming president in 2017, according to a news release. He succeeds owner and chairman Michael Teel as CEO.

“Keith is a strong leader who has a passion for our people and our purpose,” Teel said in the release. “He has proven success in moving our strategic priorities forward and growing our market share.”

Raley’s has strengthened its brand, expanded its e-commerce services and prioritized better-for-you options under Knopf, per the release. He has also led new store development.

Teel will continue as chairman.

“Keith and I are tightly aligned on the vision and direction of the company,” Teel said in the release. “I have confidence in him and the leadership team to lead the strategic direction to accomplish our vision. With this change, I will be able to spend more time in the community with organizations that will help transform the food system alongside Raley’s.”
