Walmart has launched an online back-to-school campaign featuring The Produce Moms’ CEO Lori Taylor and the TPM brand.
Taylor is featured on Walmart’s U.S. e-commerce website and app in the campaign that features products representing The Produce Moms Approved seal, according to a news release.
“The Produce Moms Approved seal represents a product that supports our mission to get more fruits and vegetables on every table,” Taylor said. “NatureSweet, Wada Farms, Crunch Pak, and Sage Fruit are some of the TPM partner brands represented within this Walmart campaign.”
TPM says it also awards the seal to brands engaged in sustainability and employee engagement:
- The product extends the fresh life of fruits and vegetables, in support of The Produce Moms value of reducing food waste.
- Reduces plastic waste associated with grocery shopping, in support of The Produce Moms value of environmental sustainability.
- The employer provides child care, lactation facilities and/or meaningful paid maternity and paternity leave, supporting The Produce Moms value of building career and family.
U.S. consumers can view and purchase TPM-approved products Walmart's website and mobile app. Featured brands include TPM partners NatureSweet, Wada Farms, CrunchPak, Sage Fruit (Cosmic Crisp apples), Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Naturipe Farms and Envy apples, the release said. Many of the fresh products are packaged and easy to include in a lunch box or bag.
“One of the ways TPM promotes our mission of getting fruits and vegetables on every table is by encouraging our audience to always make fruits and vegetables available to children when food is being served,” Taylor said. “This campaign supports that by promoting convenient and fun products for parents to include for their kids.”
