Grilled chicken chopped salad kits from Taylor Farms will make their national debut in early 2019.
The three options in the line — Caesar, Cheddar Ranch and Club — are designed as alternatives to quick-service restaurant meals, according to a news release.
The kits are already available in some regional retailers.
“Consumers are increasingly trying to replicate the restaurant experience at a value price point within their own homes, and our salad kits with premium grilled chicken protein offer just that — convenience, great-tasting recipes and ready-to-eat high quality protein,” Bryan Jaynes, vice president of product management and marketing, said in the release. “We are thrilled to be the first to bring to market this line of delicious, high quality protein-packed salads.”
The Caesar kit includes romaine, Parmesan cheese, garlic-and-cheese crouton crumbles, Caesar dressing and grilled chicken, and the other two options also include additional greens like red and green cabbage and kale along with green onions, carrots and bacon.
