Thx!, a social impact program dedicated to connecting consumers and retailers of fruits and vegetables with the farmworkers who make it possible, said more retailers — including Southeastern Grocers/Winn-Dixie, Sam’s Club, Walmart and others — now offer Thx! products.

The company said it logged more than 40,000 scans to date in less than two months at Sam’s Club and that its campaign helps consumers understand the valuable role farmworkers play in the fresh produce industry in an often-overlooked aspect of the business.

“We are thrilled to join forces with such great brands and pave the way towards better lives for their farmworkers,” Thx! co-founder Martin Casanova said.

QR codes on Thx! labels link to short videos of farmworkers sharing their dreams. The codes can be found on packages for Kiwi Kings from FruVeg, SunFed bell peppers, Classic Harvest citrus and more.

“Our program helps fresh produce brands demonstrate their commitment to farmworkers by putting a human face and honest stories to corporate sustainability programs,” Thx! co-founder Raul Fernandez said.

The Packer's Best of Sustainable Produce Summit Marketing Awards recently honored Thx! QR codes in the Best in Business-to-Consumer Messaging category.
