Monterey Mushrooms says it will launch a specialty product line that includes high-graphic top-seal packaging during its participation in the Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure, set for March 6-8 in Orlando, Fla.
“We embrace the [event] theme ‘Produce Means Family,' inspired by the Hawaiian spirit, as we celebrate the joy of family meals and the cherished tradition of eating together,” the company said in a news release.
Monterey Mushrooms visitors to its booth, No. 201, can discover its new specialty line, which includes shiitake, maitake, lion's mane, oyster and king trumpet mushrooms. Additionally, the company uses its sustainable top-seal packaging solution for this line, featuring rPET tills with NIR colorant, which reflects the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility, the release said.
The company says its standard offerings include high-vitamin D and organic mushrooms.
"Southern Exposure 2025 is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our commitment to innovation and sustainability in the produce industry,” said Monterey Mushooms Vice President of Business Development Mike Stephan, who will be attending the event. “We are eager to connect with attendees and share how our products can transform retail shelves."
Alongside Stephan, Lawrence Tuck, vice president of retail category management, and sales directors Ben Mossing and Andrea Smith will also be in attendance, ready to answer questions and showcase its new specialty mushroom line, the release said.
