Produce Retailer editor Ashley Nickle and The Packer's copy editor and designer Amelia Freidline check out Fresh Trends statistics on chili peppers and try several preparations of the famous Hatch chiles on this episode of Millennials Eat.
According to Fresh Trends, 22% of shoppers purchased specialty peppers in the last 12 months. Groups among which the spicy vegetables are most popular include high-income households (32% of those who reported purchase) and shoppers age 18-39 (39%). In addition, shoppers in the West were nearly twice as likely to have bought specialty peppers as shoppers in the Northeast.
