Salinas, Calif.-based Mann Packing plans to feature three new products at the upcoming PMA Foodservice Expo.
One is a sweet cauliflower variety with long stems and white flowers. Caulilini comes ready to eat and is available year-round, according to a news release.
“After being in field trials for over a year, we’re thrilled to introduce this amazing cauliflower variety to the world, the result of a development partnership with Aruba Seed,” Rick Russo, vice president of sales, marketing and product management said in the release. “Caulilini is as striking on the plate as it is on the palate. It adds texture and high-end visual appeal to everything from veg-centric entrees to creative appetizers, and is already creating a lot of buzz with chefs.”
The other foodservice items Mann will highlight at its booth July 29 will be Kale Cabbage Blend and Sweet Potato “Fettuccine.”
Kale Cabbage Blend combines green cabbage, shaved Brussels sprouts, radicchio, kale and broccoli stems. It can be used as a slaw, as a filler for wraps and in other ways.
The Sweet Potato “Fettuccine” offers ribbon-like cuts of sweet potato that can be substituted for pasta, used for wraps or included in desserts.
Mann will display its Caulilini, Kale Cabbage Blend and Sweet Potato “Fettuccine” at booth no. 1004 during the expo.
