More than 190 Hy-Vee stores will soon offer dietitian-guided tours focused on foods that help blood pressure and cholesterol and manage diabetes.
The free tours will take place Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at noon, spotlighting how to shop for people with diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, respectively, according to a news release. Dietitians will outline which foods fit well into eating plans for shoppers navigating those health issues.
“Hy-Vee’s mission is to make people’s lives easier, healthier and happier, and these free tours are a way for our customers to learn the important role food choices play in their overall health,” Kristin Williams, senior vice president and chief health officer for Hy-Vee, said in the release. “Our company’s approach to health and wellness makes these tours a perfect complement to the wide array of services our in-store dietitians already offer.”
Tours start at the customer service counter. Reservations are not required.
