Avocados From Mexico says it is putting guacamole at the center of every table for Cinco de Mayo with a new strategy that highlights the food and the vibrant flavor that avocados offer. The plan is embodied in the brand’s “Guac Makes the Fiesta” campaign.
“Cinco de Mayo is a time to celebrate the rich culture and flavors of Mexico, and nothing embodies that better than a big bowl of guacamole,” Alvaro Luque, Avocados From Mexico CEO, said in a news release.
“This year, we’re reminding consumers that avocados turn an ordinary gathering into a real fiesta, bringing vibrant flavor and fun to every table. We’re proud to be a part of so many celebrations, making good times even better with the freshest, most delicious avocados,” Luque added.
The company noted that Cinco de Mayo is the second most popular day for avocado consumption. The brand’s “Guac Makes the Fiesta” campaign aims to drive the growing demand for the fruit on the holiday with omnichannel activation including:
- A new 30-second digital spot highlighting just how much guac brings a fiesta to life.
- Branded packaging and in-store displays designed to excite consumers ahead of Cinco de Mayo.
- Tailored digital tool kits for retailers for easy execution.
- A dedicated Cinco de Mayo page on the Avocados From Mexico website with recipes and celebration ideas.
The company said shopping for the fruit spikes as May approaches, so getting avocados ahead of time is part of the annual holiday ritual for many consumers.
