Gotham Greens celebrates 13th year with expansions, new products and giveaway

In a summer business update, New York-based indoor farming company Gotham Greens said it recently opened greenhouses in Colorado, Georgia and Texas. The company also expanded facilities in Providence, R.I., and Chicago.

The expansion in Chicago is on the former Ryerson Steel site to provide the Chicagoland area with more production capacity with an additional 55,000 square feet, according to a news release. Gotham Greens said it also added a new research and development area to better help the brand innovate with new product additions.

The company said it donates plant seedlings to Chicago-area community and classroom gardens for environmental education and wellness program. Gotham Greens said it donated nearly 34.000 seedlings since 2022.

The company also launched its Baby Spinach Mix, Greenhouse Crunch 9-ounce Family Size, and Green Goddess, Southwest Ranch and Caesar salad kits. The company said the Baby Spinach Mix features greenhouse-grown baby spinach, butter, green-leaf and red-leaf lettuce.

Gotham Greens is also hosting an Instagram giveaway for a weekend getaway to Brooklyn, N.Y., with airfare, a three-night stay at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, a $100 food and beverage credit at the hotel, a $100 credit at Bamford Wellness Spa, a tour of a Gotham Greens greenhouse, a $100 gift certificate to Just Salad, a $100 gift certificate to Talea Beer Co., two passes to Brooklyn Botanic Garden and more, according to the release.
