Cherries
Why this worked: Sheer size of this display creates a huge consumer impact and destination for customers. Ultrahigh-graphic boxes and various levels of fruit and great symmetry make this a show-stopping seasonal piece of theater. The little detail of plush ladybugs (seen in Stemilt's logo) crawling on the boxes in the back add even more depth, creativity and fun to this display. It's a super fun display that drove a lot of tonnage and sales through the registers.
Why this worked: This cherry display took creativity into orbit, as the spaceman is overseeing some beautiful Stemilt Moon cherries before they blast off into customers' carts. The different angles of high-graphic boxes along with various levels of fruit make this display visually appealing, fun, engaging and a consumer talking point as they move through the department and store.
Peppers
Why this worked: Beautiful colored peppers really catch the consumer's eye on this little display. Three colors of peppers, all hand-placed on the display, along with a couple small crates of purple heirloom tomatoes makes for an attractive painting. Using some added height in the back and adding nice uniform boxes in front in different ways added some depth to this display as well.
Kiwifruit
Why this worked: Just a mountain of kiwifruit here. A show-stopping entrance display that really set the tone for the customer's shopping experience. There are perfectly placed pyramids of green and gold kiwifruit, both organic and conventionally grown, offered in both bulk and packaged options. Height, width, depth, theater — this tropical display had it all. Notice the excellent use of high-graphic display bins, the kiwifruit banner, recipe and POS cards, and if you look close enough, you will see some plush kiwi birds just nesting on the display for added fun.
Why this worked: Using a smaller footprint, this display shows that small stores can make a big impact with merchandising. It features perfect pyramids, some added height in the back of the display using the colored boxes of the fruit and excellent use of POS signs and recipe cards. There is also a nice mix of both bulk and packaged options being offered to customers.
Watermelon
Why this worked: This large display of mini seedless watermelons hit consumers with a shot of seasonal fresh produce before they even walked into the door. Using the total store to promote fresh produce — in the department, in vestibules and even outside — can offer creative spaces to build displays and generate impulse sales.
