Festival Foods touts lower-packaging meal kits

Festival Foods touts lower-packaging meal kits

by Pamela Riemenschneider, Jun 06, 2018

Step By Step dinners are the new meal kits from De Pere, Wis.-based Festival Foods.

Sold in the retailer’s deli section, the kits include all necessary ingredients, along with simple instructions.

The company touted the kits as a lower-packaging option.

“Festival Foods’ Step By Step Dinner Kits are different than any other dinner kits currently on the market,” wrote Amy Bailey, social media manager, in a blog post announcing the kits. “They require no minimum purchase and have less packaging.”

Bailey also said the kits are made in-store by deli employees.

The line is launching in three different recipe types: Skillet Family Dinners, Slow Cook Family Dinners and Dinner Kits for Two with 20 recipes in the initial launch, and more on the way.

The company is encouraging shoppers to order ahead of time by contacting the deli department.
