Edible Garden, a controlled environment agriculture producer of locally grown, organic and sustainable produce, says Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace will begin carrying Edible Garden’s products in all its locations across New York and New Jersey.

"We are pleased to announce that Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace will be featuring our locally grown, sustainable, Zero-Waste Inspired herbs at their 12 locations across New York and New Jersey. Their addition to our Northeast distribution network further develops our footprint in the region," Edible Garden CEO Jim Kras said in a news release.

Edible Garden currently operates its own greenhouses and processing facilities in Belvidere, N.J., and Grand Rapids, Mich., and has a network of contract growers, all strategically located near major markets in the U.S. Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace operates under the umbrella of RBest Produce.

"We are optimistic that Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace will quickly realize the benefits of Edible Garden's outstanding performance and fulfillment rates,” Kras said. “We are also hopeful that RBest Produce will see the added value Edible Garden brings to Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace, possibly extending our reach to more RBest retail partners."

Offered at over 5,000 stores in the U.S., Edible Garden says is disrupting the CEA and sustainability technology movement with its safety-in-farming protocols, use of sustainable packaging, patented GreenThumb software and self-watering in-store displays.

GreenThumb software optimizes growing in vertical and traditional greenhouses while seeking to reduce pollution-generating food miles, according to the release. Edible Garden also is also developer of ingredients and proteins, providing an accessible line of plant and whey protein powders under the Vitamin Way and Vitamin Whey brands. In addition, the company offers a line of sustainable food flavoring products such as Pulp gourmet sauces and chili-based products.

“We look forward to enjoying a long relationship with Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace, providing them with the reliable service and high-quality products that their customers can count on,” Kras said.
