Grower-shipper of fresh vegetables and citrus Duda Farm Fresh Foods has launched its sixth annual National Celery Month consumer sweepstakes. The company says the contest highlights its Dandy brand with a focus on healthier, fresh-forward snacking.
Throughout March, Duda Farm Fresh Foods will share ways consumers can enjoy celery in a variety of snacking and meal applications, along with 14 chances for participants to win different prize packs, according to a news release.
“Our goal was to use this monthlong holiday as an opportunity to showcase the versatility of celery and to engage shoppers with a fun giveaway. The promotion design reflects that festive spirit,” Nichole Towell, senior director of marketing and packaging procurement at Duda Farm Fresh Foods, said in the release. “Spring is the perfect time to promote fresh recipes as people are transitioning out of colder weather comfort food to lighter, fresh-forward dishes. Through this promotion, we’ll share unique ideas on how to do just that while also adding fresh vegetables, particularly Dandy celery, to consumers’ shopping list.”
The company said shoppers can enter the National Celery Month sweepstakes now through March 29 for a chance to win kitchen-inspired, three-tiered prize packs that include blenders, a chef’s knife, gift cards to well-known grocery ordering and delivery services and free Dandy samples to enjoy throughout National Celery Month.
“Not only are we offering consumers a chance to win some great prizes, but we are using our platforms and brand to increase consumption of celery during the celebratory month of March!” Towell said. “We are coming off of peak season with the holidays and football when celery usage is high, so with this promotion, we are looking to keep celery top of mind among shoppers for a longer period of time.”
Duda Farm Fresh Foods said it will use a comprehensive marketing campaign to promote the sweepstakes that includes regional TV segments, public relations efforts, influencer support, celery use and application inspiration, online advertising, as well as email and social media campaigns to increase sweepstakes entries and drive demand for the product in stores. The company plans to share recipes and tips on how celery can improve digestion and support cardiovascular wellness.
Duda Farm Fresh Foods offers Dandy celery in whole stalk, one and two-count hearts and a variety of fresh-cut options, including the new petite 2-inch celery dippers, the release said.
