Bob Palmer, executive vice president and chief procurement officer for Keene, N.H.-based C&S Wholesale Grocers, plans to retire at the end of September.
In a statement, C&S CEO Mike Duffy described Palmer as having played a critical role in the company's progress and success.
"There are far too many accomplishments to list, but a few stand out — his laser focus on ensuring exceptional customer service, including establishing our best-in-class procurement discipline, our go-to-market strategy and helping to expand our divisions," Duffy said. "While we all will miss Bob and his inspiring leadership, his contributions will be a part of C&S’s legacy.”
C&S supplies about 14,000 stores from more than 50 locations in 15 states, according to its website.
