Starkrimson Pears

Commodity Overview

Starkrimson pears were discovered in the early 1950s in Missouri as a branch of red pears on a tree that typically produced green pears. In 1956, Stark Bros. Nursery patented this variety and began selling trees for commercial production. Today, Starkrimson is becoming a well-known summer pear thanks to its mild sweet flavor and beautiful appearance.
