The trend toward packaged produce that took hold during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic still is going strong among potato growers in the Red River Valley.
The Atlanta-based pizza franchise has added Idaho Potatoes to its appetizer line-up, available now through Dec. 29 at participating locations.
The harvest, now underway, has produced excellent quality sweetpotatoes in a variety of planted colors, including orange, red, white and purple, ensuring consistent supply to meet growing consumer demand, according to the brand.
“With continued economic uncertainty, attitudes about eating at home and health are evolving, and consumers are seeking a balance between value, wellness and convenience,” said Kathleen Triou, president and CEO of Fresh Solutions Network, the exclusive supplier of Side Delights potatoes and onions.
After the product debuted in March, the Masser Family of Companies will showcase its oven-crisp-style microwavable potatoes with custom sauces at its booth in Nashville.
