Whole Foods Market opened three new stores in December, each with a focus on fresh produce and local growers.

Stamford, Conn.

On Dec.12, Whole Foods Market opened a new 44,648-square-foot store located at 110 High Ridge Road, in the former Lord and Taylor space.

The store's product assortment includes more than 1,000 local items from more than 250 Northeast-based suppliers, sourced with the help of John Lawson, forager for local and emerging brands for Whole Foods Market, according to a news release.

“We're honored to open our doors in Stamford and introduce this beautiful new store to the community,” said Alfredo Osorno, store team leader for Whole Foods Market. “This store blends the charm of its historic location with a modern shopping experience, featuring more than 1,000 locally sourced products that showcase the best of Northeast makers and growers. We look forward to providing the Stamford community a unique shopping experience and the exceptional service our team members are proud to deliver.”

Nashua, N.H.

On Dec. 10, Whole Foods Market opened a new 44,600-square-foot store located at 272 Daniel Webster Highway.

The new location's product assortment includes more than 300 products from New Hampshire and 175 from New England-based suppliers, sourced with the help of Holly Long, forager for local and emerging brands for Whole Foods Market, according to a news release.

“We're excited to welcome the Nashua community to this new store,” said Leigh Avery, store team leader for Whole Foods Market. “With a product selection that highlights more than 1,180 items from New England and more than 300 products from right here in New Hampshire, this new location truly reflects the rich food traditions and innovation of our area.
