USDA lifts PACA reparation sanctions on Illinois produce business

The USDA has announced that August Battaglia, doing business as QMP Sales, satisfied a $2,575 reparation order issued under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act involving unpaid produce transactions.

The Westmont, Ill., company has met its obligations and is now free to operate in the produce industry, according to a news release. August J. Battaglia was listed as the sole proprietor of the business and may now be employed by or affiliated with any PACA licensee.
