Tops Friendly Markets recently cut the ribbon on its latest renovated store in Williamsville, N.Y.
The company said the renovation, which totaled $2 million in enhancements, welcomes residents into a warm, engaging environment. During the ribbon cutting celebration, Tops presented local nonprofits with a donation, benefitting first responders, schools, food pantries and veteran organizations, according to a news release.
“This considerable investment will offer customers a renewed shopping experience starting with our friendly and knowledgeable associates, expanded amenities, and larger selection of high quality local, national and own brands," Ron Ferri, president of Tops Friendly Markets, said in the release. "We’re excited to officially re-open this location signifying our continued commitment to the Williamsville community.”
Tops said it invites the community to visit during the grand re-opening celebrations and have the chance to win prizes such as a $1,000 Tops gift card, a Buffalo Bisons Herd Membership or a golf package to The Dome and Two Nines Kitchen and Bar in Williamsville.
“At Tops, we constantly evaluate the best ways to serve our customers and reinvest into our communities. These latest enhancements will help make life a little easier for shoppers by focusing on a strong combination of convenience, selection, quality and low prices,” Joe Macadlo, district manager for Tops, said in the release. “Tops is excited to also offer an innovative Flashfood program that strives to eliminate food waste by connecting consumers with discounted food nearing its best-by date.”
Tops said it partners with over 500 local produce and dairy farmers such as Breezy Hill Dairy, Orleans Poverty Hills Farms and Chafee Farms, among several other partners right in Erie County, N.Y. Tops supports product grown by New York state farmers who adhere to the New York State Grown and Certified program’s requirements, which includes verification of safe food handling practices and participation in environmental sustainability programs, the release said.
The full-service deli offers meats and cheeses from local and national brands including selections from Boar’s Head that contain no gluten, artificial colors, flavors, by-products or fillers, the release said. Tops also highlighted an expanded selection of grab-and-go meals, including its fish fry, freshly made salads, fried chicken, signature subs, classic pizza and more.
