I felt a little like we were back in Berlin at the KaDeWe when my husband and I stopped by Globus in Zurich.
The department store offered mostly fancy clothing, toiletries and other items, but downstairs the food halls had one of the prettiest produce departments I've ever seen.
Berries were few and far between at most retailers I saw in Europe in October, but Globus had a wide selection of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Grapes were also plentiful, and they had something I've never seen before – an individually wrapped mango.
It was a Mona Lisa brand, very large, and I'm sure it was delicious, but it was way too pricey for me.
We ended up picking up a couple of loaves of hafweisse bread for fondue that night, but like most breads and cheeses in Switzerland, it was a steal at €4.50 a loaf.
