TAMPA, Fla.—Twenty seventeen was a big year for Produce for Kids.
The Orlando-based organization celebrated its 15th anniversary, surpassed $6.4 million raised for families and children, and helped support more than 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries.
As the organization continues its mission in 2018, it’s adding a key tagline to its logo, and underlying core values, “Creating a healthier generation.”
To that end, Produce for Kids officially partnered with registered dietitian Katie Serbinski in mid-2017, and all recipes in its library are now dietitian approved, said vice president Trish James, at a reception celebrating the organization’s efforts and key partners in conjunction with the Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure.
“As we move forward in 2018, it is our goal to connect with more customers, encourage them to share their struggles with us, and most importantly celebrate their wins,” James said. “We will strategically approach all of our in-store and digital campaigns with this in mind.
