ShopRite customers are encouraged to fuel up in the produce department with a new program from the Keasbey, N.J.-based member of Wakefern Food Corp.
The “Fuel Better” campaign “provides customers with product and meal suggestions to help increase their energy levels throughout the day,” according to a news release.
It’s part of the company’s Well Everyday messaging program, launched last year, which provides complimentary health and wellness services to customers.
“We launched the ‘Fuel Better’ program to give our customers an easy and fun way to create small, achievable wellness goals – such as eating for energy – that can be sustained over the long term,” said Natalie Menza-Crowe, director of Health and Wellness for ShopRite, in a news release.
ShopRite created a recipe booklet for the campaign, also available for download, featuring energy-boosting recipes like Brussels Sprouts Skewers with Balsamic Reduction, Mediterranean Cauliflower Crust Pizza, Cheesy Stuffed Pepper Bowls and Loaded Sweet Potato Nachos.
In-store events are also planned with ShopRite’s team of registered dietitians, along with signage directing consumers to energy-rich foods including the produce department.
The program runs through the end of February.
