Thibodaux, La.-based Rouses Markets is the latest retailer to launch meal kits.
The company’s private label kits offer two servings, and are available in the deli, according to a news release. Recipes, which vary by season, include Blackened Shrimp Pasta, Chicken Teriyaki with Egg Rolls and Lemon Pepper Salmon with Kale & Beet Salad.
“We’re always looking for ways to help our customers who are short on time,” said Donny Rouse, CEO, in a news release. “Our meal kits let you cook amazing meals at home straight out of the box. And there’s no subscription needed.”
The recipes retail for $14 to $20, with cooking times under 30 minutes.
