Episode 49 of Tip of the Iceberg Podcast features two conversations.
The first is an interview between The Packer's editor-in-chief Tom Karst and Amanda Griffin, vice president of education and program management for the United Fresh Produce Association.
As listeners of this podcast probably know, United usually has its annual conference and expo in June, and this year it was slated to be in Los Angeles, so it couldn’t happen as scheduled due to the pandemic. Part of what United is doing instead is hosting a slate of 25 education sessions across five topic tracks in the month of June, and so Karst talked with Griffin about what folks can expect from that programming.
The second conversation you’ll hear is with Michael Schutt, director of produce and floral for Raley’s. With summer coming up right, PMG editor Ashley Nickle talked with Schutt about point-of-sale material, online grocery, seasonal produce and more.
