PBH offers food waste webinar

While food waste happens all over the supply chain, the majority of it is in the retail and consumer sectors. The Produce For Better Health Foundation is looking in to the issue in a new complimentary webinar, “Weighing in on Wasted Food – Part 1,” scheduled for Jan. 11.

Register here to attend the hour-long event geared toward dietitians and health professionals who work with consumers to improve diets by increasing fruit and vegetable consumption.

The webinar is moderated by Elizabeth Pivonka, CEO of the foundation, featuring primary speaker Chris Vogliano, former nutrition manager at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and clinical research associate at the scientific wellness startup Arivale.

The session will cover several topics, according to the release:

  • Identify where food waste occurs along the food supply chain;
  • List three benefits of reducing food waste;
  • Understand how to implement food waste reduction strategies.
