Houston-based MountainKing Potatoes has a new point-of-sale bin for winter promos.
The half-pallet size bins are based on the company’s summertime Grill Bins but feature ovens to emphasize winter cooking, according to a news release.
“We get flooded with calls from stores wanting the Grill Bins every summer,” John Pope, MountainKing vice president of sales and marketing, said in the release.
“It just makes sense to offer the same tool for more oven-focused, winter weather cooking.”
The high-graphic bins have 14.5 cubic feet of space and are ideal for the company’s 1.5-, 3- and 5-pound packages of potatoes, Pope said in the release.
The bins are also good for secondary spud displays or cross-merchandising, he said.
