Morning Kiss Organic says it will have organic Eastern-grown red, yellow and white onions, along with hand-cultivated organic Vidalia onions, this spring.
The onions will join a Morning Kiss Organic's lineup of organic summer vegetables: peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, eggplants and red and green cabbages, according to a news release.
Produced in Georgia, Vidalias are a variety of sweet onion that is especially delicious when served raw, such as thinly sliced in salads or sandwiches, the release said. Onions are high in vitamin B and vitamin C, with studies showing that consuming them may reduce inflammation and cholesterol.
"We look forward to offering a complete organic onion program with Vidalia, red, white, yellow and sweet organic onions," Michael Guptill of Morning Kiss Organic said in the release. "Spring weather will inspire consumers to choose fresh, organic fruits and vegetables, and Morning Kiss Organic is ready to meet this demand."
Morning Kiss Organic says all produce is packed fresh to order with daily deliveries, and it offers highly customized retail programs to meet the needs of each individual retailer.
