Kingsville, Ontario-based Mastronardi Produce has a new SKU in its on-the-vine snacking tomato lineup: Lolli Bombs.
The sweet, yellow cherry tomato joins Honey Bombs, Sugar Bombs and Flavor Bombs in the Sunset on-the-vine collection.
“On-the-vine snacking tomatoes is the fastest growing snacking tomato segment, up 70% year over year,” vice president of sales Peppe Bonfiglio said in a news release. “We are thrilled to add another unique offering to our lineup that we know consumers are going to love.”
The branding of the product positions Lolli Bombs as a healthy and tasty snack, per the release.
Mastronardi introduced Flavor Bombs in 2014 and later added Sugar Bombs to the lineup, then Honey Bombs.
“We want to give consumers choices in the produce aisle and get them excited about healthy snacking,” Bonfiglio said in the release.
The company, as usual, is introducing a number of new products at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit, including an addition to its hot pepper lineup: a red chili dubbed Yowzers!
