As its next step in reaching families with nutrition advice, Produce for Kids is launching the Healthy Family Project by Produce for Kids podcast in early June.
The podcast will include conversations with Produce for Kids blog contributor experts; topical discussions on health, food and families; new health-conscious brands and products; farm-to-table stories and more, according to a news release.
The podcast can be downloaded through iTunes or other podcast library apps, according to the release.
“With more than 300 blog posts on produceforkids.com and a panel of 12 dedicated expert blog contributors, it only made sense to take this content and bring it to life in audio form,” Amanda Keefer, director of marketing communications at Produce for Kids, said in the release.
“Our audience is evolving, and we intend to do the same, providing them with the information they need in the way they are choosing to receive it.”
According to a study from Nielsen, 50% of U.S. households are podcast fans, according to the release.
Blog and future podcast contributors include registered dietitians Katie Serbinski, Holley Grainger and Jode Danen; psychologist Stephanie Smith; plant-based parenting expert Cory Warren; and meal prep planner Brenda Thompson, according to the release.
Other digital marketing efforts this year include voice search, Facebook and Instagram live features, and expanded video content, according to the release.
Produce for Kids plans to promote the podcast through social media and e-mail as well as on its website, according to the release.
