According to a new study from Market Force Information, produce was the most popular organic product, and the contest isn’t even close.
Of those surveyed who bought organic in the past 30 days, NINETY-THREE PERCENT bought organic produce. That’s compared to only 47% in meat and dairy.
The survey, conducted in March, included a pool of 12,774 respondents in a cross-section of the four U.S. census regions. It also reflected a “broad spectrum of income levels,” with 51% reporting household income levels of $50,000 or more a year. They were ages 18 to 65, and about 75% were women.
