Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Meijer completed its 22nd store remodel of 2017 with a supercenter in Rockford, Mich. The remodel, which the company says is part of an "aggressive" push in key Midwestern markets, brings its total remodel count to about one quarter of its 235 stores.
"We continue to focus on updating our stores to bring the best retail experience to our customers," said Rick Keyes, president and CEO, in a news release. "This was a major remodel, and we are very pleased to make this investment and renew our commitment to Rockford and the Algoma Township community."
Updates took about six months and included Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards and expanded grocery and in-store dining.
