Roger Harkrider is now the director of produce for Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Meijer.
Harkrider previously worked at San Antonio-based H.E. Butt Grocery Co. for more than 30 years, according to his LinkedIn page.
His most recent position there was director of produce.
He has served on the United Fresh Produce Association board and that group’s member relations task force.
In 2009, talking about several people who would be talking about traceability at an upcoming convention, United Fresh president Tom Stenzel described Harkrider as an industry leader.
