Organic lemons are a rising star in the category, which can be attributed to several factors including the increasing popularity of juicing. While still a small percentage of the category, stores with organic lemons on ad increased 552% from 2012 to 2016, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Retail Report.
About 430 stores featured organic lemons on ad in 2016, compared to 2,100 stores per week with conventional lemons on ad.
